What are the risks of penis filler?
Low risk when a reversible hyaluronic-acid filler is used — a risk profile similar to common HA facial fillers. Collagen-stimulator, hybrid or polymer (PLLA) fillers are high-risk, and we do not use them.

We consider this procedure to be low risk when injecting a reversible Hyaluronic acid-based filler.
If injecting a collagen stimulator, hybrid, or polymer-based filler (PLLA), the procedure is high-risk.
Collagen stimulator fillers fuse the sliding layers of the penis together unnaturally and can cause serious complications which are difficult to address.
When using a Hyaluronic acid-based filler, the procedure has a low risk profile, commensurate with common HA-based facial dermal filler injections.
If using a Hyaluronic acid-based filler, this is the safest medical approach available to thicken the penis and is less invasive than surgical penis enlargement.
Our experience with complications at Androfill
- Complications are rare and usually minor, including temporary swelling and mild bruising.
- Infection is a rare possibility, but if it does occur, it can be a serious complication. The risk of infection is lowered by following the aftercare instructions and completing a course of antibiotics.
- Infection is our primary concern at Androfill Clinic. In a typical year, we have approximately 2 or 3 patients out of more than 1,000 who experience an infection. In some cases, an infection can be severe. In rare cases, all of the filler has been required to be dissolved away, and the infection (cyst) has needed to be drained.
- Worldwide, the number of facial aesthetic procedures performed using Hyaluronic acid-based fillers exceeds 5 million each year.
- Complications are exceedingly rare when an experienced doctor injects filler.

Hyaluronic acid fillers have been FDA-approved for various cosmetic uses since 2003, but not specifically for penile enhancement. Their use for penis enlargement is considered “off-label,” meaning physicians can legally use them for this purpose based on their clinical judgment, but without specific FDA approval for this indication.

Yes, Hyaluronic acid-based filler procedures can be reversed by dissolving them away.
As explained in the section What is Hyaluronic Acid, an enzyme called Hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve Hyaluronic acid-based fillers into water, after which they are safely eliminated from the body. This can be done at any time.
This is one of the main reasons why Hyaluronic acid penis enlargement is a safer approach to penis enlargement than other methods.
In the unlikely event you wish to return to your normal penis size, you can do so by either waiting for the filler to dissolve naturally or by injecting an enzyme to dissolve it away.

Is the treatment painful?
No. The doctor numbs the penis with a dorsal penile nerve block and the fillers contain lidocaine — most patients find it less painful than a visit to the dentist.

This procedure is not painful; many patients state that the treatment is almost pain-free and less painful than a visit to the dentist.
The doctor will make the penis numb with a local anaesthetic, a process called a dorsal penile nerve block.
This entirely numbs all the nerves in the region, so you don’t feel a thing.
The doctor has the training to perform this type of numbing procedure, which is better than relying on topical anaesthetics or numbing creams.
To further reduce the possibility of any pain, the dermal filler products that we use are laced with local anaesthetic (lidocaine).
How long will the treatment take?
The procedure itself takes as little as 45 minutes. Allow around 2 hours in total for the consultation, consent forms and treatment.

Patients travelling from abroad for Androfill should expect to spend 2 hours in the hospital.

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers have a half-life (the point where we estimate the half will be gone), of 15-24 months, depending on:
- The brand of the filler. Generally, the more expensive the filler is, the longer it will last and the firmer it feels.
- Juvederm Volux and Teosyal Ultra Deep have the longest estimated half-life of all the fillers we provide.
- The patient’s metabolic rate (related somewhat to their age and fitness level).
- The filler will generally last a little longer in a 40-year-old patient than in an 18-year-old patient.
- Lifestyle and individual factors.
- Some people metabolise Hyaluronic filler faster than others, for unknown reasons.
Reabsorption Profile
Hyaluronic acid fillers are metabolised (reabsorb) at a roughly even rate each month (2 – 7% p.m., depending on the brand).
The durability quoted is a half-life, meaning the point at which it is estimated that 50% of the filler will remain.

Ellansé is a higher-risk filler based on a polymer (plastic-like) substance. It lasts longer than Hyaluronic acid; however, it is not as safe.

Ellansé is broken down by the body in a different way than Hyaluronic acid.
Almost all of the effects of Ellansé are present up until the estimated end-of-life of the product.
Once the active ingredient Polycaprolactone degrades (~4 years), nothing remains to stimulate type III collagen, and the results quickly fade within 6-12 months.

Body fat as a filler. Fat surgically transferred to the penis generally lasts around 12 months before the body reabsorbs most of it.
A small amount of fat may survive for several years where fat has successfully vascularised (gained a blood supply) in sections along the penis.
The penis does not naturally contain fat, making the survival of transferred fat less likely than in other areas of the body such as the buttocks, breasts, and face.
Fat Reabsorption Profile
Any transferred fat which has not attained a viable blood supply within a matter of days will be either passed out of the body or form hard calcified nodules of necrotic fat. Successfully transferred fat and calcified necrotic fat nodules may survive for a number of years in the penis.

If you have all the necessary information and wish to proceed, you can have the procedure on the same day, directly after your consultation.
Finance Matters
If you wish to pay for the procedure using finance, please apply for finance in advance of your procedure.
If you change your mind or the procedure is not for you, the finance can be cancelled, and any payments can be refunded in full without additional charges.
The amount you finance can also be decreased without any costs, for example, if you need less filler than you anticipated.
It is also possible to apply for finance on the day of your procedure; however, finance applications are not assessed on weekends and may require some additional time at the clinic while our finance provider evaluates the credit.
Patients travelling from abroad are advised to contact their bank or credit card provider in advance if they believe the transaction amount may trigger a payment block. Generally, all foreign cards are accepted, including Amex. If your card provider blocks the transaction, you may spend a considerable amount of time in the clinic calling your bank back home.

There is nothing else you need to do before coming in for the Androfill treatment.
No blood tests are required in advance.
We recommend wearing supportive underwear, such as boxer briefs, and having a thorough wash in the morning of the procedure.

I have a short penis. Will Androfill do anything for penis length?
Filler increases girth and flaccid hang, but not erect length — the same is true of lengthening surgery. Studies suggest most partners prefer girth over length.

Penis fillers can increase flaccid length (how long it hangs out from the body when not erect), but not erect length.
The weight of the filler and a scaffolding effect along the shaft can cause the penis to hang lower in the flaccid state.
However, as is also the case for penis lengthening surgery, there is no increased length in the erect state.
Size preferences: Girth over Length
For the majority of men, it is the extra length when hard that matters, not the length when soft.
The good news for heterosexual couples is that there is evidence that the majority of women prefer penis girth over penis length. Penis girth is what is provided by this procedure.
In a University of Texas Study, 90% of partners preferred a wider penis while only 10% preferred a longer penis.
A study by UCLA’s Sexual Psychophysiology and Affective Neuroscience (SPAN) Laboratory found that women prefer a larger penis girth for casual sex.
Results of this study, as reported by LiveScience, have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
What is Hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural ingredient in the skin responsible for retaining moisture and supporting the skin structure.

Is there something permanent I can inject into the penis?
We do not recommend permanent fillers such as silicone or PMMA: the risks are far higher and they are almost impossible to remove. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved if there is ever a problem.

With permanent fillers such as silicone or PMMA, the risks are much higher.
PMMA is a processed polymer or plastic-like substance; we do not feel that it is safe to inject it into the penis.
It is nearly impossible to surgically remove PMMA beads from the penis if there is a poor outcome.
Removing PMMA and permanent fillers is a financially expensive process. It can also take a lot of time and cause pain and emotional suffering, as well as damage to the penile tissue into which the permanent filler has integrated.
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, by comparison, can be dissolved away if there are any issues by injecting Hyaluronidase enzyme solution.

What is a normal size for a penis? Should I consider girth enhancement?
Most of our patients have an average-sized penis and choose girth enhancement for confidence. If you have a long-term partner, consider their preference before proceeding.

Men choose to have girth enhancement purely to increase self-confidence or as an ego boost, and may not have a small penis at all.
The majority of our patients have an average penis size.
For those in long-term relationships, consideration should be given to the penis size preference of one’s partner.
Incompatibility in sizes can be the cause of significant dissatisfaction in sexual relationships.
It may be inadvisable to proceed with a girth increase (if your partner prefers a smaller or thinner penis, for example).

Recovery time, how long before resuming sex?
Most activities, including office work and driving, can resume immediately. No sex for 2 weeks and no strenuous exercise for 1 week; swelling settles within about 2 weeks.

You can return to most normal activities except sex immediately.
You can return to work on the same day if you have a job which does not involve heavy labour, for example, if you work in an office environment or drive a vehicle.
We expect some swelling, which can last up to two weeks. You will see the final result after the swelling subsides, typically within 2 weeks of the procedure.
The penis may be tender, and there could be some bruising or redness for up to 1 week.
You should not have sex for 2 weeks following the procedure to reduce the risk of infection and the risk that the filler might migrate.
Strenuous exercise or heavy lifting is not advised for 1 week following the procedure.
How much filler will I need?
It depends on your starting length and the amount injected — 20 ml adds roughly +0.7″ to +1.1″ of girth (a shorter penis needs less filler). Use the estimator above for your figures.

The amount of girth gained depends on the starting length of the penis and the amount of penis filler injected.
A shorter penis will require less filler, and therefore less cost. Conversely, a longer penis will require more filler.
The increase in girth is noticeable during sex for both you and your partner.
We strongly recommend testing your new girth with any long-term partner before opting for any additional size gains.
Further injections can be provided at a follow-up appointment as soon as two weeks after the initial procedure, if additional girth is desired.
The safest and most effective approach is to add girth cumulatively, in manageable steps and with repeat visits, rather than an ‘all in one go’ approach.
As the recovery time is relatively short, it is not a major inconvenience to have a small amount of additional filler on a subsequent visit should that be desired.

Is there a limit to how much bigger I can get?
Yes. Most patients should stay within 20 ml, for a gain of about 1 inch or 20% of girth — beyond that the skin can be over-stretched and results start to feel unrealistic.

Increasing the thickness of the penis too much will irreversibly stretch the skin and is more likely to lead to complications.
If the penis is stretched with too much dermal filler, the skin may be stretched and loose when the filler eventually goes down.
To be safe, most patients should limit themselves to 20 ml of filler for a gain in penis size not exceeding approximately 1 inch or 20% of penis girth.
Hyaluronic acid limitations.
Even with the hardest of Hyaluronic acid fillers, an increase in penis girth of more than 1 inch will start to feel unrealistic.

Penis filler procedures have the potential to become very addictive.
After each procedure, the patient experiences a psychological boost.
Patients will often seek to reattain the original ‘high’ with subsequent filler procedures, which become habit-forming.

Penis fillers can increase flaccid length (how long it hangs out from the body when not erect), but not erect length.
The weight of the filler and a scaffolding effect along the shaft can cause the penis to hang lower in the flaccid state.
However, as is also the case for penis lengthening surgery, there is no increased length in the erect state.
Size preferences: Girth over Length
For the majority of men, it is the extra length when hard that matters, not the length when soft.
The good news for heterosexual couples is that there is evidence that the majority of women prefer penis girth over penis length. Penis girth is what is provided by this procedure.
In a University of Texas Study, 90% of partners preferred a wider penis while only 10% preferred a longer penis.
A study by UCLA’s Sexual Psychophysiology and Affective Neuroscience (SPAN) Laboratory found that women prefer a larger penis girth for casual sex.
Results of this study, as reported by LiveScience, have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Hyaluronic acid is a natural ingredient in the skin responsible for retaining moisture and supporting the skin structure.

With permanent fillers such as silicone or PMMA, the risks are much higher.
PMMA is a processed polymer or plastic-like substance; we do not feel that it is safe to inject it into the penis.
It is nearly impossible to surgically remove PMMA beads from the penis if there is a poor outcome.
Removing PMMA and permanent fillers is a financially expensive process. It can also take a lot of time and cause pain and emotional suffering, as well as damage to the penile tissue into which the permanent filler has integrated.
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers, by comparison, can be dissolved away if there are any issues by injecting Hyaluronidase enzyme solution.

Men choose to have girth enhancement purely to increase self-confidence or as an ego boost, and may not have a small penis at all.
The majority of our patients have an average penis size.
For those in long-term relationships, consideration should be given to the penis size preference of one’s partner.
Incompatibility in sizes can be the cause of significant dissatisfaction in sexual relationships.
It may be inadvisable to proceed with a girth increase (if your partner prefers a smaller or thinner penis, for example).

You can return to most normal activities except sex immediately.
You can return to work on the same day if you have a job which does not involve heavy labour, for example, if you work in an office environment or drive a vehicle.
We expect some swelling, which can last up to two weeks. You will see the final result after the swelling subsides, typically within 2 weeks of the procedure.
The penis may be tender, and there could be some bruising or redness for up to 1 week.
You should not have sex for 2 weeks following the procedure to reduce the risk of infection and the risk that the filler might migrate.
Strenuous exercise or heavy lifting is not advised for 1 week following the procedure.

Steps to proceed with Androfill

For filler procedures, select Enlargement Filler Consultation / Procedure, London or Manchester.
Select a suitable date and time.
Please note that if you wish to have both the consultation and the procedure on the same day, you may be required to spend up to two hours at the clinic.
If you have all the necessary information and wish to proceed, you can have the procedure on the same day, directly after your consultation.
Finance Matters
If you wish to pay for the procedure using finance, please apply for finance in advance of your procedure.
If you change your mind or the procedure is not for you, the finance can be cancelled, and any payments can be refunded in full without additional charges.
The amount you finance can also be decreased without any costs, for example, if you need less filler than you anticipated.
It is also possible to apply for finance on the day of your procedure; however, finance applications are not assessed on weekends and may require some additional time at the clinic while our finance provider evaluates the credit.
Patients travelling from abroad are advised to contact their bank or credit card provider in advance if they believe the transaction amount may trigger a payment block. Generally, all foreign cards are accepted, including Amex. If your card provider blocks the transaction, you may spend a considerable amount of time in the clinic calling your bank back home.
Preparation
There is nothing else you need to do before coming in for the Androfill treatment.
No blood tests are required in advance.
We recommend wearing supportive underwear, such as boxer briefs, and having a thorough wash in the morning of the procedure.

The amount of girth gained depends on the starting length of the penis and the amount of penis filler injected.
A shorter penis will require less filler, and therefore less cost. Conversely, a longer penis will require more filler.
The increase in girth is noticeable during sex for both you and your partner.
We strongly recommend testing your new girth with any long-term partner before opting for any additional size gains.
Further injections can be provided at a follow-up appointment as soon as two weeks after the initial procedure, if additional girth is desired.
The safest and most effective approach is to add girth cumulatively, in manageable steps and with repeat visits, rather than an ‘all in one go’ approach.
As the recovery time is relatively short, it is not a major inconvenience to have a small amount of additional filler on a subsequent visit should that be desired.

Increasing the thickness of the penis too much will irreversibly stretch the skin and is more likely to lead to complications.
If the penis is stretched with too much dermal filler, the skin may be stretched and loose when the filler eventually goes down.
To be safe, most patients should limit themselves to 20 ml of filler for a gain in penis size not exceeding approximately 1 inch or 20% of penis girth.
Hyaluronic acid limitations.
Even with the hardest of Hyaluronic acid fillers, an increase in penis girth of more than 1 inch will start to feel unrealistic.
Filler addiction/dysmorphia.
Penis filler procedures have the potential to become very addictive.
After each procedure, the patient experiences a psychological boost.
Patients will often seek to reattain the original ‘high’ with subsequent filler procedures, which become habit-forming.

Description of the Penis Filler Procedure
The simplicity of the Androfill procedure opens up penis enlargement to a range of men who would not previously have considered it or are put off by the idea of invasive surgery.
When using a reversible dermal filler such as Hyaluronic acid, the procedure is no riskier than having filler injected elsewhere in the body, such as in the lips or face.
The penis is thickened by the injection of a Hyaluronic acid dermal filler which provides an immediate increase in penis girth and flaccid length. Being naturally produced by the body, side effects of the substance are rare, and the procedure is reversible by dissolving the filler if ever this is desired.
There are three steps:
1. A 30-minute consultation with our doctor.
2. If the patient wishes to proceed, a topical anaesthetic cream is applied, and the filler is injected into the penis.
As soon as the filler is injected, the penis becomes thicker.
3. Abstain from heavy lifting for 1 week and from sex for 2 weeks.
The patient can have the consultation and procedure completed in as little as 1 hour, including the 30-minute consultation time; however, to be safe, patients should plan to spend at least two hours at the clinic.
Patient-doctor confidentiality is strictly adhered to.
Due to the quick recovery time, it is your choice whether you wish to inform your partner about the treatment.
