Who writes the content

Pages are prepared by the Androfill editorial team, working from clinical facts, prices and protocols supplied by Androfill's clinicians and management. Some pages are written directly by Dr Gary Horn, Consultant Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon (GMC 4267803), and are credited to him. Where an older page has been substantially rewritten, the credit describes the current version.

Drafting and editing are assisted by AI writing tools. Every published statement is checked by a person against its source before it goes live, and the medical content is reviewed by a clinician as described below. ▲

How clinicians review it

The medical information on each treatment page is reviewed by Dr Greta Peciulyte, Urologist and Clinic Director (GMC 7539240), or by the named clinician shown on that page. The review covers headlines, summaries, FAQs, diagrams, calculator outputs and their limitations, and every claim about benefits, risks, alternatives and results. The reviewer's name and the date of the completed review are shown on the page. A page that has changed materially since its last review shows "Medical review: pending" until it is reviewed again.

Reviews are internal: our reviewers are Androfill clinicians and are not independent of the business. We do not claim a fixed review frequency. ▲

How sources are selected

We cite peer-reviewed studies, professional-body guidelines (EAU, BAUS, AUA, ISSM/ICSM) and regulator publications (MHRA, FDA, GMC). We link to the original publisher or PubMed record, strip tracking parameters, and give preference to randomised trials and systematic reviews over case series and conference abstracts. Where the evidence is mixed we say so. Manufacturer material is identified as such.

Commercial affiliations

Androfill is a private clinic. The treatments described are offered for a fee. Our clinicians are employed by or contracted to Androfill; this is stated on every review box. Product names shown (filler brands, devices, PRP systems) are those we use; we do not receive payment for naming them. ▲ Finance promotions are labelled as credit, subject to status.

Dates on our pages

First published is the date the page first appeared. Content last updated is the most recent substantive change to its text. Last medically reviewed is the most recent completed clinical review. These are set by hand and never change automatically.

Corrections

If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, out of date or misleading, use the contact form or email info@androfill.co.uk with the page address. Reports are passed to the reviewing clinician; substantive corrections are made on the page and the "Content last updated" date is changed.
