Ellansé

Ellansé has been used at the Androfill Clinic since 2016.

There are several advantages and disadvantages to using Ellansé versus Hyaluronic acid and Fat Transfer Surgery.

The main advantages of Ellansé are:

  • Lasts 4 years or longer, compared to Hyaluronic acid  (1-2 years), and fat transfer surgery (most fat reabsorbs in 9-12 months).
  • Ellansé can feel harder and more natural in the penis than Hyaluronic acid or fat transfer.

The main disadvantages of Ellansé are:

  • Ellansé can’t be dissolved away or altered after the filler is injected.
  • The inability to alter or reverse the result makes Ellansé a higher risk procedure with comparable risk to fat transfer surgery.

Ellansé Comparison

Selected Metrics: Firmness, Durability, Effective Cost, Risk Level

Firmness: How hard it feels in the erect penis.

Ellansé (Hardest)
High Quality Hyaluronic Acid – Voluma – Volux – MD Volume – Teosyal (Good Firmness)
Fat Transfer Surgery / Penis Girth Surgery (Soft / ‘Fatty’)
Budget Hyaluronic Acid (Softest)
  • When injected correctly, Ellansé is the hardest and most natural feeling filler.

  • Ellansé creates new tissue in the penis which is why it feels natural and firm when erect.

  • Ellansé stimulates the production of Type III collagen which is naturally occurring in the penis.

  • Ellansé is firmer than Hyaluronic acid or fat from fat transfer surgery. The rigidity of the product makes it possible to increase the thickness of the penis beyond a 1-inch increase in circumference without losing erection firmness.

  • If Ellansé is injected poorly, the firmness of the filler can cause problems as in the case of a hard lump which is poorly distributed.

Firmness: How hard it feels in the erect penis.

Ellansé (Hardest)
High Quality HA – (Good Firmness)
Fat Transfer – (Soft / ‘Fatty’)
Budget HA (Softest)

HA = Hyaluronic acid filler

  • When injected correctly, Ellansé is the hardest and most natural feeling of any filler including fat.

  • Ellansé creates new tissue in the penis which is why it feels natural and firm when erect.

  • Ellansé stimulates the production of Type III collagen which is naturally occurring in the penis.

  • Ellansé feels much more natural than fat. Fat does not exist naturally in the penis, as the penis is designed to be hard when erect rather than soft or fatty.

  • With Hyaluronic acid, the additional penis size is due to the continued presence of the gel layer within the penis. If the layer of Hyaluronic acid gel becomes too thick it can start to feel soft when erect. This can happen if too much Hyaluronic acid filler is injected (20ml or more), or if the quality of filler is too low and lacks rigidity.

  • If Ellansé is injected poorly, the firmness of the filler can cause problems as in the case of a hard lump which is poorly distributed.

Durability: How long is lasts.

Ellansé – Estimated 4 years or more
High Quality Hyaluronic Acid – Estimated half-life 18-24 months
Fat Transfer Surgery – Most fat reabsorbed by 12 months
Budget Hyaluronic Acid – Estimated half-life 6 months

Effective Cost Per Month

(Procedure price divided by the estimated duration of the results)

10 ml dermal filler/fat transfer surgery

Girth Surgery (Fat) Price £5,800, expected duration 12 months (£5,800 / 9 months = £645 per month)

Budget HA Filler 10 ml = £1,290, estimated half-life 6 months (£1,290 / 6 months = £215.00 per month)

Volux 10 ml = £2,300, estimated half-life 24 months (£2,300 / 24 months = £95.83 per month)

Ellansé 10 ml = £3,600, estimated effect 48 months (£3,600 / 48 months = £75.00 per month)

Risk Level: (Probability of Complications) x (Severity of Complications) x (Ability to Treat)

Fat Transfer Surgery / Penis Girth Surgery (Highest Risk)
Budget Hyaluronic Acid Filler (High Risk)
Ellansé (Higher Risk)
High Quality Hyaluronic Acid Filler (Lowest Risk)

(Probability of Complications) x (Severity of Complications) x (Ability to Treat) = Risk Profile

Fat Transfer

Probability of Complications: High (25% of cases)

Complication Severity: Moderate to Severe

Ability to Treat: Moderate complications can respond well to treatment. More severe complications require surgical removal of fat where possible.

Ellansé

Probability of Complications: Low (<5% of cases)

Complication Severity: Moderate

Ability to Treat: Complications can be difficult to treat.

Low-Quality or contraindicated Hyaluronic Acid

Probability of Complications: High (30% of cases)

Complication Severity: Moderate to Severe

Ability to Treat: Usually possible to dissolve away lower quality HA (Hyaluronidaise), treat infections (antibiotics), treat inflammatory nodules/granulomas.

High-Quality Hyaluronic Acid

Probability of Complications: Low (>5% of cases)

Complication Severity: Usually Mild to Moderate

Ability to Treat: Possible to successfully treat most complications with Hyaluronidaise (dissolving) enzyme. Infections, inflammatory nodules/granulomas are less likely with a higher quality filler.
