Firmness refers to how hard the filler feels in the erect penis.

Generally, the harder the filler is the more natural it will feel and the longer it will last.

Harder Hyaluronic acid fillers can support a greater increase in total size (more filler) before softness is detected when erect.

Even the hardest Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Ultra Deep will start to feel less firm to some patients in amounts exceeding 30 ml (or gains of more than 1 inch in circumference). It is advisable to limit the amount of Hyaluronic acid filler injected to approximately 30 ml in total, depending on penis length and depending on filler firmness (softer, budget fillers should be limited to 10 ml).

Budget Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally softer and detectable in the penis even after small procedures of 10 ml or less. Budget fillers can feel even softer than the results of fat transfer surgery.
