Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is the most common ejaculation problem experienced by men.

There is no set definition of how long it should take to ejaculate. In some cases, both partners may be satisfied with a shorter sexual liaison, while for others the premature ejaculation of one partner may be the cause of significant tension in the relationship.

A study on the topic found that the average time taken for a man to ejaculate while engaged in sexual intercourse was 5.5 minutes.

If you are regularly lasting for significantly less time than this, or your partner is expressing a desire for you to last longer in bed, you may benefit from a range of premature ejaculation treatments offered by the Androfill Clinic.

Causes of premature ejaculation can be physical and psychological. Psychological causes include:

  • Depression
  • Relationship anxiety
  • General anxiety
  • Anatomy – having an extra sensitive penis
  • A habit of ejaculating quickly, perhaps when masturbating, which carries over into the bedroom.

Physical causes can include:

  • Prostate or thyroid problems, or recreational drug use.

Effective Treatments:

Androfill Filler Approach

(Injection of HA Filler to Glans)

Androfill provides a revolutionary treatment for premature ejaculation which involves injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the penis.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are the same type of filler that women often inject into their lips, to plump them up.

The goal of this treatment is to reduce sensitivity in the penis head (glans penis), for the life of the filler (usually between 12 – 18 months duration in this area).

An additional benefit of the filler treatment is that your penis head will be larger, due to the added volume of the filler.

The amount of filler required to reduce sensitivity will vary from person to person, but is usually more than 6 ml of filler.

* Individual results may vary from person to person.

You don’t need to undergo surgery to have this treatment.

All that is required is to apply numbing cream to the end of the penis and lay back while the doctor injects the filler.

The filler we use is hyaluronic acid, which is also produced as a natural substance in the body and found throughout the body.

The cost of the filler approach is approximately £2,500, and the treatment must be repeated every 12 – 18 months.

The result is described by patients as feeling more natural (more natural sensation) than when using traditional numbing creams.

The filler can be dissolved at any stage if the reduction in sensitivity is too great, or you don’t like the result.

Conversely, more filler can be injected to further decrease sensitivity in the head of the penis.

* Individual results may vary from person to person.

Patients seeking augmentation of the penis head only (to increase the size of the penis but not change the sensitivity) must be aware that injections of hyaluronic acid have the potential to reduce the sensitivity of the penis.

If a reduction in sensitivity occurs, in most cases this can be reversed by dissolving the filler from the head of the penis using a Hyaluronidase enzyme.

* Individual results may vary from person to person.

In patients with a foreskin (uncircumcised), augmentation of the glans (increasing the size of the head of the penis) may make it more difficult to retract the foreskin of the penis, and there is a risk of Phimosis (difficulty in retracting the foreskin of the penis when cleaning, which can potentially cause an infection).

Numbing Cream Approach

A topical anaesthetic cream to rub on the penis which contains Lidocaine.

EMLA 5% w/w Lidocaine Cream by AstraZeneca

Commonly uses by tattoo artists to numb the skin, and the preferred topical anaesthetic used by the clinic prior to injecting HA filler during the Androfill Procedure.

The result of rubbing numbing cream onto the head of the penis is that your penis will feel less sensation, or numb, and you should be able to last longer before ejaculating.
